Before sending an IP notice
If the concern is inaccurate church information, a church that should not be listed, or an ordinary profile update, use the listing update form. Use the process below when your concern is specifically about a logo, photograph, writing, trademark, or other protected material.
What to include
Email baptistfinderteam@gmail.com with the subject “IP concern,” or use the Contact page. Include:
- Your full name, organization if applicable, email address, and phone number.
- The protected work, mark, or other right you believe is involved, plus evidence of ownership or authority to act.
- The exact BaptistFinder page URL and a clear description of the material at issue.
- Why you believe the use infringes your rights and the action you request.
- A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your typed or electronic signature and the date.
What happens next
We may acknowledge the notice, request missing information, temporarily restrict the material, contact the submitter or listed church, and preserve relevant records. We will review the context and take reasonable action, which may include correcting, disabling, or removing the material. A complete notice helps us act faster but does not guarantee a particular result.
Responses and counter-information
If material is restricted after a complaint, the person who supplied it may provide evidence of authorization, ownership, licence, mistaken identification, or another lawful basis. BaptistFinder may restore material when the complaint is withdrawn, the parties resolve the issue, or the available information reasonably supports restoration. We may leave material unavailable while a genuine dispute remains unresolved.
Misuse of this process
Do not knowingly make false claims or use this process to silence lawful information. BaptistFinder may decline incomplete, abusive, or clearly unsupported requests and may restrict repeat misuse. This process does not prevent either party from seeking independent legal advice or using remedies available under Philippine law.
